Welcome to VaidyaSathi. This Doctor Verification Policy describes the process followed by VaidyaSathi to verify doctors before listing them on the Platform. By registering as a doctor or healthcare professional on VaidyaSathi, you agree to the terms of this Policy.

1. Purpose

VaidyaSathi is committed to providing patients with access to verified healthcare professionals. This Policy establishes the minimum verification standards followed before a doctor's profile is published on the Platform.

2. Eligibility

To be listed on VaidyaSathi, a doctor must:

• Hold a valid medical qualification recognized by the appropriate authority.
• Possess a valid registration with the applicable State Medical Council or the National Medical Commission (NMC), where applicable.
• Be legally eligible to practice medicine in India.
• Provide accurate and complete registration information.

3. Documents Required

Doctors may be required to submit one or more of the following documents:

• Passport-size Photograph
• Medical Degree Certificate(s)

The decision of VaidyaSathi regarding approval is final for the purpose of listing on the Platform.

6. Doctor Responsibilities

Doctors listed on VaidyaSathi agree to:

• Maintain valid professional registration.
• Keep profile information accurate and up to date.
• Inform VaidyaSathi promptly of any changes to registration status, qualifications, clinic address, or contact details.
• Provide professional, ethical, and lawful medical services.
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.

7. Periodic Re-Verification

VaidyaSathi may periodically review or re-verify doctor profiles. Doctors may be asked to submit updated documents if:

• A registration expires.
• Professional information changes.
• A complaint or compliance concern arises.
• Additional verification becomes necessary.

Failure to cooperate may result in temporary suspension or removal from the Platform.

8. Suspension or Removal

A doctor's profile may be suspended or removed if:

• False or misleading information is submitted.
• Required documents are forged or invalid.
• Professional registration is suspended, cancelled, or expires without renewal.
• Serious complaints or legal actions affect eligibility.
• Applicable laws or this Policy are violated.

VaidyaSathi reserves the right to suspend or remove listings at its sole discretion where necessary to protect users or comply with legal obligations.

9. No Guarantee of Medical Services

Verification by VaidyaSathi confirms only that the doctor has completed the Platform's verification process based on the information available at the time. Verification does not guarantee:

• Medical expertise or quality of treatment.
• Successful treatment outcomes.
• Clinical competence beyond applicable licensing requirements.
• Future professional conduct.

Patients should make their own healthcare decisions after considering all relevant factors.

10. Complaints Against Doctors

Users may report concerns regarding a listed doctor through VaidyaSathi's customer support. Where appropriate, VaidyaSathi may review the complaint, request clarification from the doctor, temporarily suspend the profile during investigation, or remove the listing if justified.

Medical negligence complaints and professional misconduct remain subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate regulatory authorities and courts.

11. Privacy of Submitted Documents

Documents submitted for verification are handled in accordance with the VaidyaSathi Privacy Policy. Verification documents are used solely for identity and eligibility verification, legal compliance, fraud prevention, and Platform administration.

VaidyaSathi reserves the right to modify or update this Doctor Verification Policy at any time. The latest version will always be available on the Platform with the updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
